The National Student Travel Foundation (Malta) – NSTF, in collaboration with Betapsi, launched the Malta Student Psychology Forum (MSPF) in 2014. This programme targets all students interested in psychology and social wellbeing. Students aged 16 - 21 may apply for the MSPF.
The aim of the MSPF is to encourage research, analysis and presentation on psychological topics to help encourage them to see the importance of psychology in one’s everyday life. In teams of two, students will give a short presentation on the topic at hand and a debate will take place on said presentation, all of which will be graded by a panel of expert judges.
There will be a total of six sessions, which will be addressed by a guest speaker specialised in the field being discussed.
In 2014, the winners took part in a conference organised by Beta Psi whereas students from the Netherlands visited Malta and underwent a number of psychology related workshops. Winners from the 2015 edition got the chance to participate in a psychology-related youth exchange in Finland. The Winners of the 2016 edition were entitled to participate in the Beta Psi Psychology exchange.
